There are 26 Indian schools in Kuwait which are affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi.  These schools are providing CBSE patterned education to more than 60,000 students.  At university level, there are around 194 Indian students who are pursuing their higher studies in sharia and Islamic studies, medicines, business administration, engineering, information technology etc. at different universities/colleges in Kuwait such as Kuwait University, Arab Open University, Australian College of Kuwait.

5.     Nalanda University

Nalanda University was established at Rajgir (Bihar) as an international institution of academic excellence under an Act of Parliament – The Nalanda University Act,2010. The University, administered by this Ministry, was formally inaugurated by the External Affairs Minister on 19th September 2014. Three Schools of studies - School of Historical Studies, School of Ecology and Environment Studies and School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions have already started functioning. The University has a current strength of over 150 students in all the three Schools including 20 foreign students from various countries such as Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Laos, Bhutan, China, Brazil, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. The University has started the admission process for the academic year 2017-18.
