FAQs on Passport/PCC Services
Q 13: What shall I do if the lamination of my Passport comes out or gets damaged?
Ans: Please do not try to fix it on your own as it may further damage your Passport. If it is a recently issued Passport, you may be able to get it laminated from the Embassy of India (Consular Section). On examination of the condition of the Passport and if no intentional damage is noticed, Embassy may re laminate the Passport.
Otherwise, if the Passport was issued many years ago (or) it is damaged beyond repair, you are required to apply for Renewal/Reissue Passport under Damaged Category (with additional damage fee).
Please fill up online application form at the website https://portal5.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html (Damage Category) OR at the BLS Outsourcing Center.
