It has been set up as a not-for-profit joint venture between DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry), State Governments and FICCI. Invest India acts as the first point of reference for foreign investors, handholding them through the pre-investment phase, execution and after-care phases.
